Child Safeguarding Statement in compliance with the Children First Act 2015
The safeguarding of Teen-Turn participants will always be a key priority as we recognise that the welfare of the child is of paramount importance in our work.

Work placement Guidelines in compliance with the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act 1996.
Teen-Turn will make certain that the work placements are compliant with all requirements of the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act 1996.
Per the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, 1996, young persons aged 16 or children aged 15 may be employed as part of an approved training programme provided the young person or child is a full-time second level student and the placement is part of a work experience or educational programme.
In keeping with these particular requirements, Teen-Turn will provide hosting companies copies of school letters and parental permission forms in addition to the documentation identified here.
For clarity purposes, Teen-Turn hosting companies are often referred to as employers and Teen-Turn participants referred to as employees. A child is a Teen-Turn participant aged 15 or 14.
