STEM INSIDE AUG 2 TO AUG 5 ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WITH IRISH CENTRE FOR HIGH-END COMPUTING (ICHEC) SCHEDULE LINK
AI is impacting the future of virtually every industry and every person from Healthcare and Climate Change to Sports. But how does AI work and what can it really do? The ICHEC STEM Inside Week will explore the good, the bad, and the ugly of AI and put the skills we learn into practice.
First things first!
No need to prepare for these sessions. We will do the work together! But watch this space for instructions on what software you might need to download. All documents for the week will be accessible at the link below.

Did we mention that ICHEC is a great place to work? ICHEC staff play an important role in maintaining the national HPC infrastructure as well as supporting and developing the community to enable world-class research on these systems. Coming from over 17 countries (at the last count) we are as diverse an organisation as you can find. These highly skilled and multi- talented individuals bring enthusiasm, commitment, passion and fun to make ICHEC an interesting, challenging and happy place to work.

What's the story with ICHEC?
The Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC) at NUI Galway provides e-infrastructure, services and expertise to academia, industry and the public sector. In addition to its core remit of supporting Excellence in Science on the national high-performance computer ‘Kay’, ICHEC enables the application of HPC for developing efficient services and solutions based technologies such as artificial intelligence, high performance data analytics, Earth Observation, quantum computing and cybersecurity across a number of sectors including environmental sciences, healthcare, agriculture, energy, financial services and ICT.
By operating Kay (Ireland’s national supercomputer) and the National Quantum Learning Platform, ICHEC enables researchers, enterprises and the public sector to innovate solutions for complex social, economic and environmental challenges.
ICHEC works in partnership with industry and public authorities in joint R&D activities, skills development, and provisioning HPC and data management services to accelerate and de-risk their digital transformation and green transition.
ICHEC is also the National HPC Competence Centre in Ireland under the EuroHPC Competence Centre (EuroCC) initiative.
